Speaking Opportunities

Taking place October 9-11, 2024 in Hanoi, Viet Nam, this event is a collaboration of Animal & Vegan Advocacy (AVA) International and Asia for Animals (AfA) Farm Animal Coalition.

We expect to receive far more submissions than we can accommodate, and if we are unable to offer you a speaking opportunity this time, it does not reflect on the value you add to our movement.

When submitting a talk/workshop/activity, please focus on specific strategies, interventions, learnings, and useful take-aways for the audience instead of focusing on promoting your organization.

We will consider up to two submissions from a given speaker and up to three speakers representing a single organization. We will carefully balance the amount of speakers who have spoken in the past and new speakers.

Submitting early is always a good idea! Decisions are made with our Steering Committee on a rolling basis. Deadline for submissions is July 15. You may not receive a decision until the end of August regardless of the timing of your submission, owing to developing the program concurrently with assigning speakers.
What we are looking for.

Our most common format is joint sessions, i.e., several individual presentations on similar topics grouped together in joint sessions with other speakers. If you submit a talk, we will likely look for appropriate matches with other submissions to build a joint session. Your likely speaking time is 20 minutes, with additional time for a shared Q&A.

Beyond standard presentations, we also highly welcome interactive workshops and other creative format submissions!
